I love to read, but its a little depressing to see all the books sitting on the shelves, lonely and waiting for someone to care. I wanted to give them life somehow, and that random thought quickly transformed into something I loved, and it turns out other people love it as well!

After some trial and error, I found a way to turn used books into beautiful purses. Now, not only can you read your favorite books at home, you can carry them around with you and show them to the world.

The best thing about it is, I'm not just tearing them apart to make a purse... I recover the pages in fabric so you can still read your book! I've also made necklaces and decoupage pictures frames, among other craft projects. Nothing is wasted, and every part of the book is used for something.

I've even donated quite a few recovered pages to under privileged families with children that enjoying reading, but can't afford the books. They love them!
